Residual Paintings
This series of paintings explores the patterns we see in the interaction between water and the decay of nature. Each piece is made beginning with a spontaneous gestural drawing based on natural objects. Then layers of pigment are added. The pieces are created using watercolor & watercolor pencil on handmade Japanese paper.
